The Most Convenient Way To Eat Well- Chef’d Meal Delivery!

The days of only being able to have junk food delivered to your door are long gone- hallelujah! These days you can get anything from figure competition meal prep food to an entire week’s worth of groceries, delivered right to your front door. I have yet to try the meal prep delivery or grocery delivery services but i did give another service in this family a shot- fresh ingredients and a recipe delivered to my door step!

I heard about Chefd.com because they started carrying Beyond Meat– my absolute favorite vegan meat replacement. They have non-gmo, gluten free, and insanely delicious burger, crumbled “beef” and “chicken” options and Chef’d is now be carrying the burger and beef crumble! Chef’d considers themselves to be the “first and only meal store” which makes perfect sense since when you look at their site you’re essentially online shopping for a meal.

I ordered 4 servings of the Feisty Tacos and Beast Burgers. Surprisingly both were under $30 and delivery was fast and reasonable as well. When it arrived two days later I and was highly impressed with the packaging! Here’s a video from when I received my order:

First I made the veggie burgers and cucumber salad. These recipes were super easy. It suggests to use the grill, but if you don’t have one there are directions for cooking via stove top on the Beast Burger package. The cucumber salad was soooo flavorful which was impressive since it required only a few ingredients. This is a recipe I will probably make again on my own! I was also a big fan of the spicy mustard. There was more than enough for the 4 burgers, plus the adorable glass containers are currently being recycled as “to-go” salad dressing containers!

I made the taco salad for friends who are not vegan, or even clean eaters at that. They both really liked it! This recipe takes a bit more preparation time, but nothing outrageous, still under 30 minutes I would estimate. One of my friends who is sensitive to spice thought the guacamole was way too hot. I personally LOVE spicy food and thought it was perfect. However, it could easily be made less spicy by cutting down on the amount of crushed red pepper, if you’re spice sensitive as well. She didn’t find the “beef” or the chipotle mayo to be too spicy, though. I liked the chipotle mayo so much, I went and bought a jar afterward! The recipes come with pretty much everything you will need, with the exception of a tiny bit of olive oil and some salt and pepper. Overall i was seriously impressed, you can check out my full video review below!

So, would I order it again? Absolutely. I have since browsed Chefd.com further and saw they have a bunch of vegan options as well as options for other dietary needs and family friendly options. They’ve got everything from Grilled Cheese & Tomato Bisque and Sloppy Joes with Steak Fries to Chilled Soba Noodles With Tofu and a Caramelized Onion & Fig Pizza. There is definitely something for everyone!

This is a great way to save time while ensuring a healthy, home cooked meal. It’s a great option for learning a new recipe or trying out something new for the first time. When I go out of town my friends and I have a pot luck dinner night. Rather than having to get to the grocery store while traveling, I will totally take advantage of having my contribution to dinner delivered!
